AES Green Ambassadors - Proud to lead a MD Green School!

AES Green Ambassadors 2010 - 2011
The AES Green Ambassadors' mission is to help the student body and staff of Atholton to be even greener than they already are.  They do this by meeting with their assigned grades throughout the school to teach the students about environmental initiatives the school will undertake.  The Green Ambassadors also act as role models and teachers by presenting environmental information they have learned from community experts. Green Ambassadors hope to encourage other schools to follow in their footsteps.

"We Green Ambassadors feel glad that we get to take part in making our school a greener place."
- Isabelle

"We love being green!" - Julia

"I really wish that we could continue this in middle school!" - Teagan

"We hope to encourage others to be Green Ambassadors in their schools." - Bailey

"We can't do this alone; we do it as a group." - Taylor

"Being green is a better thing!" - Kieran

"When you help the world, you help yourself." - Ryan

"Being green helps the world go around!" - Mansa

"If everyone in America was green, then the world would be a MUCH better place!  As soon as you wake up in the morning, you should help the Earth." - Guy

"I hope our school continues this program." - Rachel

"A big difference can start with one person." - Molly

"We're helping our school; we're helping our world."  - Emma

"Every day is a day to be GREEN!" - Tsega

The Green Ambassador Rap by Ryan C. - Performed by Atholton's Original Group of Green Ambassadors!

The Green Ambassador Rap's purpose is to teach students across the school a fun way to remember that we are a Green School, and we want to remain a Green School.  The fifth grade Green Ambassadors visit their assigned classrooms to teach the students the words and motions of the rap, because they know that when students are actively involved in something, they have greater chances of understanding.
